The Church of the Advent Ladies’ Guild is an organization of women within the Parish. We are united spiritually, socially and charitably in order to support the pastoral staff and to further a spirit of true parish community. The Guild welcomes and celebrates the gifts of all women of our parish. We share our time and talents in support of our faith family, the local community and the wider world.
We host monthly community luncheons, and cater receptions for memorial services and other celebratory events. We make and sell pies, make and sell marmalade and we sell True Earth eco-friendly laundry strips. We hold monthly business meetings and often have informative guest speakers. The funds we raise are dispersed as needed for church projects and regularly to needs in our community. We also contribute to provincial, national and worldwide needs as they arise, usually donating through the PWRDF (Primates World Relief and Development Fund) and/or the Canadian Red Cross.
